Douglas Wayne Kyle, Managing Partner of Personal Alternative® Funeral Services in the Okanagan, has a tenure of 38 years in the funeral business.
Wayne began his career in funeral service in Brandon, Manitoba before moving to British Columbia in 1972, where he continued his profession in Victoria, and moving to Vernon in 1973.
Kyle purchased a funeral home in Armstrong in 1977 and operated the firm for 13 years.
Wayne has since sold his former business and in 2003 established Personal Alternative® Funeral Services in Vernon and Armstrong to provide consumers throughout the entire Okanagan with an affordable, common-sense "alternative" to the escalating costs found in traditional funeral homes. Personal Alternative® serves families right in the convenience and security of the family's own home.
Personal Alternative® here in the Okanagan is independently owned and operated. There are also other independently owned Personal Alternative® locations operating in B.C. as well as in other provinces and the United States.
Wayne has a son Ryan and a daughter Melanie who are both grown. Kyle has always been active in community events and in his spare-time enjoys the water, mountain biking, hiking and skiing. |
