Personal Profiles
Diann R. Rowat, the Senior Partner of Personal Alternative® Funeral Services, began her career in the funeral industry in 1997 with the opening of Personal Alternative® Funeral Services in Calgary.
Ms. Rowat graduated from Mount Royal College as a licensed Funeral Director in the fall of 1997 with academic excellence.
Ms. Rowat brings to the funeral industry a different background, as she is a graduate Psychiatric Nurse, as well as a Registered Nurse. She was actively involved with Home Care and Palliative Care at the Red Deer Health Unit, West Central Health Unit and the Calgary Regional Health Authority.
Recognizing the need for a more consumer friendly and affordable approach to the funeral service industry in Central and Southern Alberta, Ms. Rowat and Calvin Rowat established Personal Alternative® Funeral Services in Calgary.
Ms. Rowat has two children, Mitchell who volunteers at Personal Alternative® Funeral Services on weekends, as well as Crissinda who is employed full-time at Personal Alternative® Funeral Services as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Diann also has a granddaughter, Bailee-Dawn. Diann, Mitchell and Crissinda are all actively involved in their community. |
