Personal Profiles

Bill Clark, Managing Partner of Personal Alternative® Funeral Services, is a 4th generation funeral director in the Trail area, bringing 29 years of experience in the funeral business.

Bill began his career at the age of twelve. Starting as a car washer, Bill left the family owned funeral home in 1985 to start his apprenticeship at a funeral home in Cranbrook, B.C. Graduating in 1987, Bill moved to Kamloops, working as a funeral director until 1989 when he moved back to Trail to manage the same funeral home his father bought in 1956 and subsequently sold in 1989.

In January, 2000, Bill joined Personal Alternative® Funeral Services and opened a location in Trail.  In January, 2006, he opened a second location in Castlegar. Bill believes a family operated business is the best way to serve the interests of the community, rather than through a large, corporately owned mega-chain funeral home.

Bill is very active in the community, along with Tammy and children, Adam, Nathan, Scotty and Emily. Clark is past-president of the Trail Rotary Club; past-president of Christina Sands Estates Society and past-president of the Greater Trail Retirement Housing Society.
